I honestly don't get why its even a thing or even used. I see posts about happy announcements get downvotes or will I leave a comment that isnt mean, negative or agressive at all and get down votes. Do people just it when someone has a different view or just to be annoying. I just don't get the point of it and seems useless honestly. Am I missing a valid point to that feature or those who use it why do you??

I use it most times when someone gives wrong information, rude for no reason, troll posts or when people post that they’ve had unprotected sex then ask “CoUld I bE pReGnAntT!?!?”😑😑

I sometimes downvote a comment if it's mean/unnecessary. I hate when people are genuinely asking for advice and people leave unnecessarily rude or sarcastic comments, so I might downvote their comment in that case but not all the time. I also downvote a post if someone's asking for an opinion on something (like a baby name) and I don't like/agree with it. Instead of leaving a comment, l'll just downvote as a way to say "no." But I do the same with upvotes; if I agree or like something, instead of leaving a comment, I'll just upvote their post. If there's a poll and there's an option to disagree, I'll just click that option instead of downvoting. But I don't just downvote people because I don't agree with their view. My advice is to not take upvotes and downvotes personal. It's just an app/the internet and there will always be mean people and people who don't agree with you.

I agree that they are dumb but this app is weird now in general lol. I see posts that are asking a random question like "recommendations on vacation locations" and will see down votes and just think why lol. I don't use it and seems like there are people who just hit it for whatever reason or on posts from people they just dont like no matter the post. Don't use it or get it but feel that way about the weird gift exchange thing too lol.
