Should I write a little note?

I'll be moving to an apartment soon with my 3yo son.
I have never lived in an apartment and I am worried about bothering other people.
I was wondering if I should write a little note for the neighbors surrounding us to let them know that we haven't ever lived in an apartment yet and to absolutely let me know if we are too loud or bothering them in any way.
I'd include a little picture of the 2 of us and my phone number.
Is this a good idea or would it be bothersome to people?

Don’t do that. It’s doing too much. You also shouldn’t willingly give neighbors pictures of your child. That’s a major safety issue. I’m a very social and open person, but if someone randomly gave me a letter telling me they’re moving in and attached pictures and their number, I’d be like “ok…?” lol

I wouldn’t. It just seems a bit extra, you also don’t always know who your neighbors are tbh. I don’t think anyone will mind you guys at all and you have just as much right to occupy your living space.

I don’t think you have to do that, most people living in apartments expect some extra noise. When I lived in an apartment it was only when people were like yelling and fighting that it was a problem

No. Too much information. Nobody needs to know that you have a child living with you unless they see the two of you. No one needs your phone number. If they have a problem, they can call management. I live in a three apartment residence and my two neighbors know my daughter and have my phone number, but I have been here for 10 years and we all know each other. If I lived in an apartment building, I would never advertise that I have a child living with me. ￼
