Transitioning from swaddle to sleep sack, help!!
My baby is almost 5 months old and I want to transition him to a sleep sack before he starts rolling. The only problem is that he REFUSES sleep unless he is swaddled. He naps great unswaddled, and at the beginning of the night he will go down but only for like 30 mins then he is WIDE awake until I cave and swaddle him. In his swaddle he goes down in under 10 mins and usually is asleep for the night (10-12 hours). I can’t even get him down when we try the sleep sack. He just waves his arms around and has his eyes open and breathes anxiously. Holding him tight and rocking doesn’t help at all either.
Anyone have any tips for transitioning? Is it best to just commit and go cold turkey and he will eventually get it? If so, is there any way to prevent having a cranky and overtired baby all day?
Any advice is appreciated!!
