She said what?!

So my husband went to pick up my daughter from my parents. I’ve had a head cold and was also an emotionally heavy day for me. We found out that I have to have a hysterectomy when I have a C-section. So my husband told me that my stepmom, who’s an ultrasound tech, told him that she’s grateful that I’m having an hysterectomy so that my husband doesn’t have to have a vasectomy. Which first we’ve never talked about him having one and second WTH?! My husband said that he had no idea what to even say to her. She told him she had a hysterectomy at 52 for endometriosis and it wasn’t a big deal. I just don’t even know what to say. I’m completely flabbergasted. They’re not even the same surgeries. Any of them. A vasectomy isn’t like a hysterectomy and a hysterectomy isn’t like a C-section birth coupled with a hysterectomy after carrying a baby. It’s comparing apples to oranges. She says because she scans guys every day for pain after a vasectomies. That and I quote that I’ll “be taking one for the team” so he doesn’t have to have one done.

I think I’m officially done with her for a while. I’ve dealt with so much with this pregnancy and so much from her that I just can’t do anymore.
