PGT-A test - what to do!?? UK

Debs

Hi all,

We are starting IVF In March, the consultant has suggested we do a PGT-A test due to my age. (39). I already have a child from a previous relationship, no history of miscarriage, or chromosomal issues in the family. Have high ovarian reserve (36 follicles, AMH 21),

We are self funding, the costs are quickly mounting. Currently at £12,500.

PGT-A testing will be an additional £2000k (min), or £700 per embryo.

So are in quandary, do we do it? Is it necessary? The research all seems very conflicting. Any advise is welcomed, thank you ☺️
