Test fever

How many dpo is it safe to test .. I have read 3-6 or 6-12 or 12 16 lol I am just so wanting that bfp I have seen my whole family have babies and my in laws and we r still trying to conceive finished first round of clomid and had intercourse before and on ovulation day ..
