What to expect with postpartum appointments?

My doctor does 2 week and 6 week postpartum checkups as standard, including for vaginal delivery (which I had). Any idea what to expect for each of these? Is 2 week typically just to check in on mental health, or are they going to want to do an exam as well?

With the baby I had last April they did a 2 week telehealth appointment - just to check for mental health. It’s standard whether or not you’ve had ppd before. The 6 week check up (in my experience) they just go over birth control options with you & they ask you if you’d like them to check & make sure everything has healed properly.

Probably will do both. But would assume just the vag check if u hadn’t said anything b4 about ppd
