Controversial

Hey guys: Controvertial topic

I was born in England however was brought up in Spain where it’s the cultural norm to pierce your baby daughters ears.

I’ve always said that I would pierce my daughters ears before she was 1 as it was just ingrained into me.

My daughter is now 10 months old and I really want to take her to get it done. People have very heated opinions on this topic and I’m so afraid of being judged and people thinking I’m a bad mum.

My view is that there is less of a risk of infection now and her grabbing at them. Her hair is short so no tangled hair in them and they will be healed quickly with minimal invasivness.

I know there will be some pain involved but it is over so quickly and then cuddles and boob follow.

Please share your opinions with me and don’t feel the need to hold back. I would just like to know what people’s thoughts are.

TIA

Xx

I personally feel that it should be the choice of the person getting their ears pierced whether they want it done or not, but I don’t judge people who feel otherwise. We all have different experiences and opinions and that’s okay ❤️

all of the piecers i’ve asked have said it’s either better to do it super young, at least before 3m or after 4years just because at that age they will pull on them and touch them which risks infection

Our culture we(Hispanic ) we do it as soon as they are born or first months. I didn’t do it to my baby girl cause I personally don’t like piercings. And I just kept pushing it off. Now she’s 2 and will wait till she’s older and decide if she wants to get them pierce or not.
