Baby shower cost advice

Hi! First time mom here 🤗 I’m just curious as to what everyone thinks is a decent price for a baby shower? Im planning my own baby shower, given I’ll have help setting up and everything like that. I know it’s not usually proper etiquette on throwing your own baby shower, however this is our first and will more than likely be our only! So naturally I want it to be perfect in my own way (100% control freak) plus it’s fun. I’ve found an adorable venue and I’m just trying to plan everything out in advance given we have to send out invites 6-8 weeks ahead of time (which would be April) and put down a deposit on the venue. The venue itself will be around $700 for 40 guests for 4 hours, it includes tables and chairs with an equipped kitchen for setup. I’m just curious if around $1200 is an absurd amount of money? We did opt out of having a wedding reception due to wanting to try for a baby. I have unexplained infertility so this is just a dream come true for us! I just want to be realistic about this.
