Cervical cerclage?!

Currently pregnant with my rainbow baby (7 weeks 4 days). Refusing to let myself get excited this time around as we have previously lost babies at 16 weeks and 18 weeks that could’ve been prevented. I will be undergoing a cervical cerclage this go around at the end of first trimester to hopefully prevent the preterm labor this time. My last pregnancy, an emergency cerclage was attempted which in turn ended up breaking my water. Has anyone here ever had a cervical cerclage (non emergency) that would care to give some insight on the procedure and if it was successful for you. Also, if anybody has had an abdominal cerclage, please give me any and all the info on that!!!
