I had a D&C today about 6 hours ago. I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks, baby showing 6 weeks 2 days with no heart beat. My hcg levels so high (in the 130,000’s), so they are ruling out a partial molar pregnancy. So far, minimal bleeding. Light cramping (almost like period cramping). I read mixed reviews on how everyone’s healing process went after the procedure. Some say they didn’t bleed for 10 days and then bled heavily, some say they hardly bled at all afterwards. Just wondering what I should expect.

Mentally, I’m feeling better after the d&c, especially because I was worried about it being a potential molar. But I do feel like life is cruel and unfair and I don’t understand why these things have to happen. I also feel like a piece of me will be gone forever. I’m hoping time will help me heal from the loss. It’s been difficult.
