Tips for upcoming C-Section at 36w?

Hi yall, so I have previa and thrombocytopenia and I'm waiting for my next appointment on the 12th to go over the next steps. I am 30w currently, after having a complete previa the placenta has only moved to 1.4cm from my cervix. With the added platelet issue, I'm fully expecting a c-section at 36 weeks. I have been prepping for a natural childbirth my whole pregnancy as we had been hopeful that the previa would resolve but now that I have other problems it's just not going to be safe for me to attempt a vaginal birth. I may also not be eligible for an epidural and will need to go under general anesthesia. Looking for some encouraging advice on how to prepare for this, things that were helpful and what to expect during the hospital stay and recovery. This is my first pregnancy so I am a bit bummed that it's ending this way, but baby girl is healthy, right at the expected measurements and pretty much spot on the mark for 50th percentile. My first child was a c-section under general due to thrombocytopenia. I was diagnosed with ITP at 29w with a platelet count of 4. I was on high dose prednisone, weekly IVIG infusions, and regular platelet transfusions. It was one hell of a pregnancy. 
Our son was born at 37w when I developed preeclampsia alongside my low platelets, which were hovering in the 15-20 range despite treatment. Delivery was scary and it was difficult in every way. But he was born healthy, and I made it through surgery. We spent a week in the hospital (trying to get my platelets to 10). My husband was our rock. We would have been lost without him. 
It’s been nearly 6 years since my diagnosis, and I’ve been in remission for 2.5 years. ITPers are warriors. Feel free to ask me questions. There are also Facebook groups (both for ITP in general and for ITP in pregnancy) that I found to be a good source of support. You got this!

Turmeric pills worked wonders for my swelling to go down. Also some panties that will cover your whole stomach because you don’t want it to be right on your cut it’ll irritate it.

I had 4 C-sections I just had my 4th November 18 at exactly 36w she was 8lbs well 7.15 pure perfection no nicu needed that was my biggest fear but make sure you do not eat after midnight that’s very important you don’t want to get sick on the table or them reschedule your section because you ate for me the only thing that hurt was the epidural/spinal the spinal is the worst if you can get an epidural instead it’s painful but not as bad as the spinal it’s really not as bad or as scary as it seems for recovery keep a pillow close to hold against your stomach coughing and sneezing will be pretty painful until you heal make sure to clean your cut everyday with antibacterial soap or any soap honestly but antibacterial is better imo keep it dry at all times and stay on your pain meds even if the pains not bad take them when your scheduled to and take it easy don’t over due it you’ll be and do just fine and congratulations
