Sinus infection after surgery??
Not sure where this fits and who could answer me but … if you’re and ENT or work for an ENT, or you’re a doc or nurse and have any idea, I’d appreciate the input!!
I had sinus surgery almost three weeks ago (septoplasty, turbinate reduction, and endoscopic surgery). Didn’t have a bad recovery at all and have been feeling pretty well other than getting headaches just about every day for the past two weeks (is that normal?).
My main question now tho is .. yesterday I started getting a scratchy throat and figured I was getting sick (I’m a teacher, always around germs 🙃). Today woke up with a stuffy nose. I was blowing out brown mucus all day, a blood clot, and then did a sinus rinse when I got home and more brown stuff came out. I also have a lot of pain in my face right now (under eyes/cheeks). Should I be concerned of a sinus infection? Or do I just have a lot of mucus bc I’m stealing healing and now I’m sick and it’s just brown bc there’s still blood up there?
Thanks in advance for your input 😊
