Yall, I’m scared.
I have recently been diagnosed with PCOS. My doctor prescribed me Provera to induce my period, because it had been almost a year since my last one. My period started yesterday morning (3/4/2024) and this is by far the worst period I have ever had. In less than 48 hours, I have went through 62 super plus tampons, 38 extra absorbent overnight pads, and 29 adult diapers. I have to pair all three of them together and tampons have to be changed every 30 minutes to an hour, max. I have also been passing golf ball sized clots, sometimes bigger. And after only being asleep for an hour tonight, I woke up to a huge gushing feeling and when I made it to the toilet, I had a steady stream of blood coming out of me. Not a drip, but a stream. I am honestly feeling pretty scared at this point, I have never had a flow this heavy. And the cramps have been absolutely unbearable. I have called my obgyn office twice- once 3/4 and once 3/5- and both days I was told I would have a call back by the end of the day. Never heard back from them. Maybe I’m overreacting? I don’t know. But it’s a LOT of blood that I am losing from this period. Would I be absolutely insane if I went to the ER and tried to get answers there?
