Is it possible?

Update: I’ve decided I’m going to file for divorce and move out. It’s going to take some time since I’m about to graduate nursing school and have no money but I refuse to deal with this any longer. I deserve better and so does my kiddo.

Is it possible for someone to sober up & not be abusive?

My husband started to black out & become abusive when he is drinking… I actually called the cops the last time it happened & he’s required to attend AA & the state picked up the case.

He’s had a drinking problem from some time & has only been physical with me a few times & every time he was black out drunk.

I have received the witness packet & I can provide a statement & it can include if I think he should receive probation or go to jail.

I don’t want him going to jail, we have a young child. I just want him to get sober & stay sober.. I called the cops that night because he wouldn’t stop & I didn’t know what else to do. I mean I could have left with her but I had no where to go & no money to myself & my car was blocked in.

The charges include aggravated assault, reckless conduct, & cruelty to children in the third degree.
