Advice on how to get money from the funeral?

I'm a small business owner and run a catering business. I cook a lot of the food myself along with my boys who I pay out. I got booked for a funeral and this is my first funeral. Worse part is it's for a small child. My friend said she stopped doing funerals because people want to guilt you when it comes time to pay and try to get out of paying the caterer. I'm scared I'll run into this problem because on one hand a mother lost her child. It just feels grimy to be pushy on money. On the other hand. I'm not working for free. Any advice?
