Married a No Chill Guy Advice
My husband who I adore is not a chill person. He's the type of guy you vacation with for every adventure possible a complete packed itinerary all the time. He hits the pillow and can sleep a solid ten hours but from sun up till sun down he's on the go. He's a work maniac and never slows down at his physiycal demanding machinery job. At home he has to constantly be doing projects run errands and be on the move.
I'm more fifty fifty when it comes to activities. I used to be a lot like him before I became disabled (I can walk unassisted but it's difficult.) I have two kids and a baby. I'm never getting a full nights sleep all, from feeding on demand to pumping to my kids have growing pains and night terrors. I'm a stay at home mom to active kids who are in sports play dates and activities. Sometimes I just need to stop. I don't get much spare time and when I do it's usually to help my paralyzed mom so it isn't a break but a different type of role compared to my kids.
Weekends are jam packed and if there is ever any lag of time my husband crams in "stuff." I'm an exhausted mom and I'm married to an overachiever husband who can easily work 60-70 hours weeks and still find time to run errands take a yard and coach hockey while also playing sports himself. I'm not lazy but I want to be so badly lol I dream of doing nothing. My family has even suggested I tell my husband I'm helping my mom and go to her home and just take a nap lol. I haven't done it but it's tempting. I married the most none lazy husband who just thinks everyone is like him. He wants me to garden, home school, make meals from scratch, volunteer, play sports, coach, and constantly go with a perky attitude and sing and dance while doing it. I need to slow down.
My husband has no concept of slow. Down time is fun time to be active and I'm physically and emotionally drained. I'm becoming really grumpy from lack of sleep and physical pain. I married an amazing guy who has absolutely no chill and no amount of communication changes that. Help a tired wife out how do I catch a break.
I did plan a date afternoon just to go see a movie with him next weekend just so I can sit and chill. We are planning a big trip as a couple only in a year and he's already filling it with adventures and I'm exhausted thinking about it lol. Help!
