I’m seeing someone who is currently in basic training for the military. We aren’t dating but I have a few things I want to talk about before we do date. We used to date before so I’m trying to be careful about getting back together. I was SA’ed between when we dated and now, and my gender identity has changed(and no, it’s not because of the SA, I just switched up labels to fit how I’ve always felt). I don’t know when or how to talk about it. We can only communicate via letter right now and it feels like a face to face kinda chat. But waiting until he graduates from basic feels like too long, and even then, when would I bring it up?
