Political controversy oh my!

I know a good amount of celebrities are liberal, but there are a good amount that are conservative too. Or may be libertarian and have views on both sides.  

Do your research a celebs political or religious views before deciding to watch a show or movie? Or what if you found out your favorite celeb has views that are completely opposite your own?  Will they cease to be your favorite celeb? Would you stop watching whatever it was that you loved them in?

For me personally, I don't look into it. I don't want to know what their views are, cuz I feel if they're a great actor and I love what they're in, their political views don't matter to me, and if they differ from mine, so be it.  But I'd like to know what other people think.  You're so quick to bash fellow people here on glow, what would you do when faced with your favorite celeb?

 Or even what about your families? Forgetting the celeb factor what about your parents, grandparents, siblings, cousins, etc.  People who are your family that you love, may just have differing views from yours. Would you bash them the way you did others on here? 

I'm not trying to actually discuss the politics themselves or who believes what, just what would you do in the hypothetical situations described. 

Update: Glad to see the responses I am. I was so appalled to see the bullying I did on another post, which is what prompted me here, how would you act if it was friends, family, celebs, etc. 

I'm glad to see there was no bullying here and that people gave their honest opinion which most were the same.  I just wish the rest of glow could be like this.  Where you can respect and get along with friends, family, etc., people are playing keyboard tough guy here on glow when you don't personally know the person you're replying to.  (You is a general term... Not ment for any of those who commented here).  Anyway I'd just like to see more respect like this across glow whenever these controversial topics like politics, religion, or beliefs crop up, but I'm not gonna hold my breath!
