Backstory:

My dog is 11. My parents and I got him when I wasn’t married and still lived at home. 2017 I got married and same year my parents divorced so my dog went to live with my mom in an apt because my husband and I were moving from rental to rental for a couple years and my dog was very attached to my mom.

So he’s lived with my mom for years now. She works 8hrs a day and is out of the house for 10+ hours everyday AND some days she goes out after work so he sees her maybe 2 hours out of the whole day.

My husband and I live in a house now and have two dogs. I’ve cut down on working and have brought my first dog to live with us because now he’s not alone 10+ hours a day and even when we’re out my dogs are with him.

I just don’t know what makes him happier? He’s very happy with my mom but only when she’s home from like 6-9pm… but with us he’s alone max 6hrs and has the company of my dogs plus my mom doesn’t have to worry about him when she goes out since she lives alone.

I just wish I could ask him where he would rather live. He’s very playful at my moms because he’s the only dog and everything is his. At my house my dogs are here and he’s not the king of the house haha I just hated how alone he was with her…. He’s very loved at both homes. I make them home made food, walk them several times a day, and cuddle with them all day.
