12 week old immunisations

Please advice me if you had the same experience!

My son had his 12 weeks vaccine last week Wednesday (9days ago) and developed a fever a couple of hours after the vaccine for two days. His fever was settled on Friday morning but woke up with an eye infection. I took him to GP and he was proscribed an eye drop. He developed a fever again from Saturday night and hasn’t stopped since. We took him to the hospital on Tuesday and they took his blood and results showed his CRP level was high. Around 20! So they kept us in the hospital til wednesday morning to monitor his temperature. His fever fluctuates from 36.9 to 38. Everytime he is on or close to 38, i give him calpol or Brufen and he’s fine for the next 6 to 8 hours but as soon as the effect of meditation is gone, his fever rises back up to 38. Im not sure what exactly is going on in his body but i think if he had been given antibiotics when we were in hospital, he would have been recovered by now! The reason he wasn’t given the antibiotics is because the doctor said theyre not sure what is causing the fever but it could be a viral infection. Also based on the fact that he is feeding okayish, gets wet and dirty nappies and everytime they tested for temperature, it was less than 38 so the doctor said no need to proscribe antibiotics and his body should fight it off and his temperature should settle soon. Clearly this hasn’t happened and im now getting concerned as to whether there’s a more serious problem with him that the doctors failed to find out!
