Someone throws up and has a gaspy coughing fit in front of you, what do you do?

I ask because today I went to the doctors followed by the pharmacy and vomited in said pharmacy. I have been sick for a week and had never vomited in public until that point and it actually started as a normal coughing fit like what I had been having.

I go to the counter give the girl my name and it starts. I'm coughing, can't talk, can barely breathe, so I give up and whip out tissues and start walking away from the the desk. (So I don't make others more uncomfortable)

It's a small place and the only place to go thats empty is the coffee bar. So there I go, coughing my way to the bar and suddenly I vomit. It was so fast and I didn't even feel it coming. I saw the tissue I had in front of my mouth turn instantly brown and there just happened to be this guy next to me who saw that. Some got on the carpet but I managed to hold the rest in my mouth before spitting into the tiny trash can RIGHT NEXT to the food and coffee and then have a coughing fit that lasted probably a good 2 minuets while struggling to quiet myself.

This place wasn't busy and yes I know they're probably used to sick people, but really? Not one person could bother to see if I was choaking? Not even the guy who got a full view of the gush and stared at me the whole time.

I'm not saying you have to touch someone who's sick, but be a nice person and if you see someone vomit on themselves maybe ask if they're ok or get them some new none-drenched napkins to clean their clothes off......and maybe if you get them enough they'll be nice and even say sorry and try to clean up your floor for you...because they're nice.
