Should I just go ahead and get my IUD out?

I have the liletta IUD that expires in January. When I first got it and for the first 4 years it was wonderful. Very light periods that only lasted 4 days, no horrible side effects. I didn’t even feel like I was on any birth control. It cleared up my acne.

However as it ages it loses its amount of hormones and I’ve been getting horrendous periods when I do get them. My acne is coming back (seriously a pain in the ass to be 27 with acne) it’s literally losing its benefits.

And I called and asked if I can get it out early but they told me that insurance won’t pay to replace it if I get it removed before January. And I was thinking about just trying the pill to help control the symptoms mentioned above until insurance will pay for another IUD (it’s like well over a grand to get an IUD without INS)

The reason I have the IUD was because birth control pills made me nauseas everyday of my life but that was nearly 5 years ago and I know our bodies change as we age.
