If your first child was born earlier than their due date, was your second child early too?

My first born was born during my 38th week of pregnancy. My doctor said the second born is often born a week earlier than the first (meaning I would give birth during my 37th week which is this week!) I’m just curious what others have experienced. Would love to see comments too! Thanks!

I had my little guy at 33+3 (spontaneous!) and the nicu nurses told me it was 50/50 for the next one. If my 2nd was early they’d all be early or maybe my first was a one off. Not very comforting but I imagine they know pretty well!

Baby #1 was born at 36 wks, baby #2 39 + 4 (I think), baby #3 still a bun in the oven! I thought baby #2 might come early back then, so I started mentally prepping for birth around 30-some weeks, and it drove me crazy with the full blown waiting! I was actually super mad the day I went into real labor (before I knew it was real labor) cuz I had been having false labor for my entire 3rd tri and I thought I’d be pregnant forever lol. My advice: be prepared, but don’t ‘wait’.

First was born right at 39 weeks. My second I induced at 39 weeks- but dude probably would have stayed alittle bit longer lol I generally see friends that have first babies earlier than subsequent but that’s just my experience

My first was born 3 weeks early so 37 weeks BUT I had to be induced because I was high risk and diabetic so she had to be born early and same with my son he was born 37 weeks and I had to be induced for the same reason for being high risk and diabetic (I have type 1)
