How to stop clothes from smelling

I ordered clothes and sometimes when I order clothes from a specific store they smell weird. This particular set I got still smells after I’ve washed it 3 times and I haven’t worn them yet.. What can I do? Can I put anything in the washing machine along with it to save it? I guess detergent doesn’t do enough
