At what age is your child getting a phone.

I didn't get my first real working phone until I got a job. It motivated me to get a job and keep it. I had to pay the phone bill which taught me responsibility and how to manage my money.

My sister whom is only 11 years old has a iPhone c... I think that is a) very unfair b) way to young and c) very dangerous

It is ridiculous to hand a child a smartphone.

Most children don't have the good mindset developed until they are much older.

She has a bad attitude problem, she is obssesed with selfies, Instagram, Snapchat, and texting. It is ridiculous .

She constantly is taking selfies, constantly talks back, rolls her eyes and even texts when at the dinner table, restraint, store, anywhere.

When I was eleven I was outside playing with my older sister or inside playing the Wii. We didn't have smartphone and if we had any attitude at all directed toward my mom she would slap it right out of us lol

I just think children shouldn't have phones until there more grown up. Social media is a bad influence. It can influence drugs, alcohol, self harm, anorexia, violence, to all be cool and a new trend. Apparently now a days being a total sarcastic mean bitch with no respect for others is the new Trend! And my little sister absorbs it like a sponge.

So what age do you think your child is getting a phone and what rules will be set?
