How much $$$ do you think is fair to pay baby sitter weekly?

I make $20 my husband makes $25
We live in California 
Baby is 1 gets dropped off a little before 7am and gets picked up by 5 or little before 
The baby sitter in my mother in law
She doesn't work and doesn't drive.
How much do you guys think is fair?

Because it’s your mother in law, I would talk to her about her expectations 
Is she expecting full wages or is she wanting to help out and happy to take whatever you can afford? 
I know my mom wouldn’t expect me to pay her almost my entire salary if she was watching my baby for me.

Well the state of California is expensive and as a nanny personally you should be paying her at least $250 a week for those hours and that age. Doesn’t matter if you all are related , kids are hard work

How much you make is irrelevant. At the absolute minimum, you should be paying a sitter minimum wage, so $16/hr. 10 hour days, 5 days a week. At least $800. Honestly, you should be paying significantly more than that, but that should be the minimum.
