Positive test but I started my period?

Question

The past two days I got faint lines on pregnancy test but last night I started what I think is my period. I decided to take more test today to see if they were negative and they weren’t they actually got darker and I got a positive on a digital what is going on? I’m bleeding like a period with a few clots.

You could be bleeding for other reasons as well. Not all bleeding means a chemical/miscarriage. Unfortunately the only way to know is to either wait it out and see if your test lines progress. Or ask your doctor for serial betas to see if your hcg is increasing via bloodwork.
Bleeding in early pregnancy can be due to low progesterone, subchorionic hematoma, etc. so the only way to know if it’s an early miscarriage is to test it out whether that’s via bloodwork or at home with the test lines

If digital remains positive even after bleeding stops I’d get checked out. I had a period and I was still pregnant. Better to be safe x
