Spotting can happen for so many reasons. Its hard to say what is causing the spotting based on how it looks. All spotting is going to look similar regardless of what is causing it. If it is due to implantation you should have a positive pregnancy test in 2 to 3 days.

I get lots of ewcm a week before and then 3 days before my period. I will say when I apparently experienced implantation bleeding, it was just a watered down tint of brown (old blood). When there’s red blood that means it’s fresh, implantation bleeding from what I’ve read and experienced, takes awhile to actually leave the vagina so lots of times the blood is more of a watery brown or a watery super light pink. Also, if there are ever any clots or bits of anything at all in the blood, it’s not implantation. Implantation bleeding will never consist of clots like when we have our periods, it will only ever be very scant watery discharge. My implantation bleed did not even make it onto a panty liner, it was only when I wiped and only for a day and a half. I hope this helps for the future!

At this point, it’s highly unlikely this indicates anything other than your period. A little pre-period spotting is normal and common. Unfortunately, there isn’t a lot of concrete evidence that shows implantation can cause vaginal bleeding.
