Just need to vent..

My in laws said they’d help us get a 2nd vehicle since my small car won’t fit 2 car seats. It’s not physically able to fit an infant seat and a car seat and be able to drive. It’s just a small car. I am due May 28th, so not that much longer so we have been looking at vehicles and sending them to them to look at so we can get one. Right? It’s the whole point.

No, it’s so much more than that and it’s becoming more of a pain than a help. They gave us a budget of $5k for a used vehicle. So we’ve been looking at anything & everything that looks reasonable in today’s day & age that would last and fit all of us.

They’ve now decided it has to be a van, it can’t be a car.. a truck.. it can’t be an suv. Just a van. They want it to be in pristine condition, with super low mile and it has to be through an individual not a dealer.

Everything that kind of comes close to it their like no, no.. no.. and our budget seems to be shrinking because they don’t want to spend anywhere close to $5k. They want to get this newer van for like $4k at max.. which isn’t even possible. At this point I’ve just stopped looking and if I have to get out & about, I’ll just have someone come to the house so they can watch our oldest while I switch out car seats in the car to take our newborn where ever I need to go like dr appts etc.

sigh.. I am forever grateful that they have offered. There’s just so many stipulations to it that it’s not even achievable.

(We’ve thought of trading in the car but it’s just not an option for us right now).
