17weeks today. Met my consultant for the first time today and i knew i was high risk already BUT this appointment just msde everything worse! Turns out that when my waters broke prematurely in my last 2 pregnancies my placentas had infections and so they cant give me a cervical stitch as if it gets infected this time - fetal demise would be highly likely. Instead theyve gave me pessaries to use every day. They also discovered that my placenta in my last pregnancy had poor blood flow and my little girl wasnt getting enough nutrients (she was born at 26+6 due to pprom and infection). So im now also on aspirin every day. I am having internal scans and dopplers every week from here on out and pessaries are to be used until 28wks. Consultant is praying i make it to 32weeks but says they will be happy if i pass 28weeks. Even if i dont get any more issues they will deliver baby between 34-36wks. The news hit me like a ton of bricks!
