2 year old broke front teeth
Looking for others’ personal experiences. My daughter fell face first onto some rocks this weekend and disfigured her two front teeth. First picture is the before; second pic is after. The one tooth is either 50% missing or is pushed up into her gums (but the bottom is jagged so possibly a mix of both) and the other is about 25% missing. She is eating, drinking, and seems completely unbothered by any pain.
Quite honestly, I’m devastated that this could be her smile for the next 4-5 years. She just turned 2. Has anyone had this happen and have the dentist somewhat restore the smile, knowing that these are milk teeth and not permanent teeth? I plan on calling the dentist tomorrow but we do not have dental coverage for her yet, so I’m unsure how much this is going to cost. While the teeth are sharp at the edges, I recognize that this is cosmetic. I also assume they will want to do an X-ray to check for intrusion into the adult tooth sac.
Thank you for any input.
