What made you choose childfree life?

Me and my husband are child free by choose due to manyyyyy reasons. 
I’m curious tho why you choose to be childfree ? 
And for those who are parents how is parenthood ? Do you regret it?

I chose to be a mom. I knew for as long as I can remember that I wanted to have a family & children of my own - since I was a little kid. I do admit it’s super trying and tough at times, but I will never regret it. This is the life I was made to have. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I wouldn’t want it any other way. I love being a mother.

I honestly thought I was going to be child free forever and just be an aunt and godmother and I was content with that idea! But then I got pregnant and I don’t regret it at all. Do I miss my life before my child? Yes, but she has motivated me in so many ways. She literally lights up my life.

Kids are the Ws: a lot of work, a lot of worry, but oh so worth it. We do not regret having a child. However it is not the path for everyone.

I chose to have a child but that choice was taken from me in a violent crime. I like my life and me and my husband are very happy and have an amazing life with houses and cars and vacations and all that stuff people dream but I wish I would have been able to birth and meet and raise my baby. We chose not to adopt or surrogate or foster due to trauma and that was our choice but I am childless by 3 mens choices not my own. Sometimes we just have to make the most of what we are given I guess.

I chose to be a mom, I won't lie and say it's a cakewalk 🤣 it's definitely not. We have a 6 yr old daughter, a 2 1/2 yr old son, and a 7 month old son. Life is absolutely chaos right now 😅 There are some challenging moments. I can see where it's just not for everyone and that's totally super okay too. That said I don't regret it and I never will. There may be days I want to rip my hair out and just want to go 5 seconds without hearing someone call for me or needing something from me all the time. Husband included 🤣 But even with all the hard moments I absolutely fully 100% don't regret it. I don't always love it, but I never regret it. 
My brother and sister in law are child free by choice and her and I have had many conversations about it. Usually people (mostly her family where everyone has like 6 kids) make her feel bad or ask if she's changed her mind. Gets in her head too much about it. She questions if she's making the right choice, if she's selfish for not wanting kids. All those things. Absolutely not. Nope. If you don't want kids it's best to not have kids. If you're on the fence about having kids, it's best to not have kids. If you want kids, wait a year and reexamine and if you still want kids, have kids. Kids have a way of knowing when they aren't fully wanted. Even if you try to hide it. They know. Coming from someone who's mother didn't want kids and didn't decide that until AFTER she had kids. It's not selfish to not want kids. It's not selfish to want kids. It's different for everyone really. And whatever the reasons, it's all valid.

I chose to be a mom and dont regreat it at all. I never though motherhood was for me but after having our son after ttc for 6 years, i am definitely grateful that he blessed us to be his parents.

I have 2 and 1 on the way. I love everything about having kids myself. If we would have been able to have our 1st earlier in life we would have had like 5 lol. We are pretty much the only of our friends that have kids though (they are all no kids by choice) so 100% understand why they don't want kids. All my siblings have kids and half my husbands do. His brother doesn't want kids because his company is his baby and he like the freedom of being able to just leave on a last min business trip or a vacation or whatever. He makes more than enough money to have kids but he likes the freedom. A lot of our friends day the same. They love being able to take a random trip and not worry about school/kid schedules, care, or booking kid ok places. They like to be able to go out and do adult things whenever without sitters. And yes they like not paying for kids. For us every part of parenthood has been amazing and even a horrible day with my kids is better than a decent day before kids. But its just what works for us. I hate the people who judge either side because we should all do whats right for our life and its fine.
