Is this the beginning of a period or not?

I’ve been on BC for 5 years. I got off to do egg freezing. Had my retrieval last month, had the retrieval period on March 25th. And I’m planning to do another cycle. So yesterday I started bleeding I put on a pad thinking oh it’s my period and now I woke up expecting a full blown period, but I’ve just been getting brown discharge.

I either need to get my period or get induced with progesterone to get a period to do another cycle . This has been really annoying, has this happened to anyone else?
