Sleeping problems
Hey yall! So I am a ftm and I know a lotttt of things can play into why baby is not sleeping. My baby girl is 5 months. When she was 2/3 months she would sleep so perfect through the night and would wake up once to eat. Her naps have been only 30-45mins long during the day. (Pretty much the norm) Thennnn I feel like we hit a sleep regression and she decided to start waking every 2 hours after putting her to bed at 9p. ( she generally sleeps from 9p-12:30/1a then does the waking up) Then it was teething, she got a small cold, and now I’m guessing this is a growth spurt. I have tried to feed her more during the day (she is EBF) I have tried Tylenol before bed, gas drops, soothing tablets/ teething gel, baby cereal before bed (only a couple times when she was around 4 1/2 months), bath time before bed. I also try to let her self soothe before getting her at night but if that doesn’t work I try rocking which she’ll go back to sleep but when I lay her down she wakes right back up wanting to eat. Somewhere in between all of these events she teased me in thinking she went back to sleeping through the night bc 2 nights in a row she slept 7hrs straight. Then went back to waking every 2 hrs 😂. Some nights are rough and she’ll wake every hr. So I’m just really lost on what to do to get her to sleep or if something is bothering her or if I’m just going to have to tough it out as baby is just growing/ wanting a safe place at night.
