Why does my baby do this in his sleep?

Question

When I lay him down to sleep he will be fine, then on and off will grunt like CRAZY and make these whining grunting sounds and kicks his legs / arms around / wiggling around. He does this every single night aside of being awake every hour. I’m exhausted. During the day when he’s sleeping he doesn’t do this ( he has his days and nights mixed up as well ) I don’t understand why he does this and especially only at night?

The moving isn’t that weird, a baby is used to have sleep and live very tight in your belly. So when they are born and get a mental jump they can be more restless. I tried for months everything and than I start wrapping them I got that tip from a nurse they slept like a baby. But I do think he breath hard, idk harder than we a baby sleeps peacefully. But maybe he can’t get good into his deep sleep with all his movements that he can’t control ( yet ). You can try how he responds if you wrap him up you have special blankets for that. Here it really help them the first few months. And what a cute boy 🥰

Most of their sleep is.REM sleep and will.last at least a couple months.

My one month old son does this exact same thing in his sleep. Abut every 5-10 mins . He’s still sleeping, but will do exactly this. Maybe this is why ? Sometimes he does pass gas
