Daycare
Backstory - I have a toddler (2.5 years old) in daycare and a newborn at home I take care of 24/7… I only put my toddler in childcare because My last trimester was HARD. At 8 months pregnant I got him into daycare so I could sleep in and get some rest (I missed out on alot of sleep prior). The daycare teacher contacts me via message and sends me photos randomly of my son (which I love) and to update me if needed.
Fast forward I heard from my boyfriend that one day she told him that I’m the only parent who checks in almost daily on their kid and asks questions like “how is he” or “has he napped”. She claims she doesn’t mind but I get the hint that I’m a little overwhelming. She usually messages back in under an hour and sends videos or holds a small conversation so I’m not worried. I have anxiety with my kids and I only let my son’s grandparents take him & it took forever for me to allow that and I text/call them twice a day when they have him. I really don’t mean to be difficult I just get worried so I need updates to ease my mind. She’s very sweet and he loves his teacher. My boyfriend thinks I should ease up on her because she knows what she’s doing and she already communicates with us about how he was for that day on her own during pick up. ..
My question I guess is should I stop texting her so much throughout the week? And start trusting that he’s ok and if something were to happen she will tell me.
