Advice for two year old who is CONSTANTLY putting stuff in her ears?
My 26 month old is always putting stuff on her ears. At meals, she'll stick whatever we're eating in her ears. If we're on a walk, I have to stop her from jamming rocks and bits of gravel in there. She found a bead once at daycare and jammed that in her ear.
We've been to the doctor several times since this started and had creams, drops, and everything ordered. No change. She doesn't have wax buildup at all. She doesn't itch or have an infection. She doesn't have pain. It's just something she does. We've had to go to the ER or clinic repeatedly to have objects removed. I can usually get the food out but hard objects? Thank God for universal healthcare!
Our doctor says she'll grow out of it but it's driving me crazy!!!!! Anyone else have a child who does this?!
Edit: great minds think alike because we did try ear buds and ear muffs but she hates them in her ear. Go figure.
