Why do some guys distance themselves from me when I have the relationship talk with them?

If I started as fwb then I started talking about wanting a relationship when they agreed and when I bring it up they distance themselves from me why is that?

I would say if you want a relationship with someone not to start in the friends with benefits situation and try to turn that into a relationship. They were only interested in the fun part not a commitment which is why they agreed to fun and distance themselves when the circumstances change. 
There’s SO many ways to start a relationship with someone before starting with sex and being openly honest in the beginning with someone that you’re looking to actually date and for a relationship built on something real is a great way to start things off, that way everyone knows what is really the end goal. 💜

They could be avoidant, emotionally unavailable, run away from  conversations, dislike conflict if they feel that talk with you might lead to conflict, don’t want a relationship, don’t want to hurt your feelings, and again, avoiding the conversation
