I’m confused

Last Friday, I took an ovulation test and it said it was at the peak. I started spotting on Tuesday, which I thought would be the start of my period. The flow wasn’t even heavy. It was a light, pink color, especially the discharge. What I thought was my period ended on Thursday (the light “flow”). On Friday, I was spotting. I took a pregnancy test on Wednesday, and it was negative. Now, when I went to the bathroom this morning, there was slippery discharge like egg whites. I just took an ovulation test, and it says I’m at the peak again. What’s going on?
