I’ve been going to an OBGYN connected to Parkland (Lake Women’s Health Center) but I feel like they rush my visits and don’t care for their patients as they should. I’ve been told many times by other mothers that I should be receiving a urine test every time I come in and I haven’t received one besides the first one to confirm my pregnancy. For my second visit they also scheduled a VIRTUAL appointment which had me a little concerned. I’ve been wanting to go to a different OB so I changed my Medicaid to one that Baylor Scott accepts but unfortunately when I called Baylor to schedule an appointment they said they only take Medicaid as secondary insurance and not as primary. I’m 23 weeks pregnant and want to feel secure about my OB and Labor and Delivery hospital. Any mamas out there have any good recommendations that will accept my new Medicaid? Im currently on Parkland Health Medicaid (ironically named lol).

Also, after my first sonogram appointment my doctor scheduled me in to go over results and she said “everything looks normal, are there any questions for me?” Ended it at that and scheduled me for my next appointment. I just feel like as a doctor you can briefly go over the results whether everything is fine or not. I was looking forward to being told how much my baby has grown or just anything general. Currently feeling so neglected.. this is my first baby and I’m wondering if this is normal at other OBGYNs..
