Pregnancy while breastfeeding??

Hi all! I’ve been googling and asking my mom, but I’m so so confused. I have an 8 month old that I’ve been breastfeeding in combo with solids. I haven’t had my period since 2022 (since getting pregnant and giving birth). What I’m wondering and really want to know: can you get pregnant whilst breastfeeding without a period? Thank you advance!

Ovulation occurs BEFORE your period so YES you absolutely can get pregnant before your period returns.
I'm currently 30 weeks pregnant and still breastfeed my 2.5yo son. I got pregnant a few cycles after my period returned at 17 months postpartum. Prior to that, I tracked my cervical fluid and BBT to monitor ovulation and potential fertile days and abstained from sex or used condoms during any potential fertile days (FAM/NFP method of birth control) because I cannot be on any form of hormonal bc. We got pregnant on purpose after my cycles returned.
If you do not want to get pregnant yet, at minimum you should use condoms as ovulation can return at ANY time even if you're still breastfeeding.
