Does he still like me?

So a year ago I met a guy at the gym. I confessed my feelings first. He said he always had a crush on me but was afraid to make a move on me. We dated for 4 months then I broke it off. It was a civil break up (nothing crazy). I offered my friendship because after all he was a great friend. Honestly thinking back I broke it off for a very stupid reason and I shouldn’t have reacted that way. He was also going through personal stuff so effort in the relationship wasn’t a priority.

We still kept in touch but I had a lot of feelings for him still so I avoided going to the gym the same time as him. He still called me to ask me how I was doing and so forth.

I later on saw him talking to girls. It was casual and he’s always been very social at the gym. He’s always talking to guys and girls.

He called me 2 weeks ago and I told him I’m flying to Mexico for an emergency trip. He asked if he can visit me. He did. He came and we talked on my front lawn. He wanted to say bye even though I was only going to be out of town for 7 days. lol. Plus we had not seen eachother for a while so it was weird he came to hug me good bye. It was the longest hug and he told me he missed hugging me ….

Anyways yesterday I went to the gym and he was there. He hugged me again and asked how my trip was. I was waiting in line and he was training a guy. I’m on my phone and he playfully comes to me again and rubs my shoulders then pretends to take my phone in a playful way.

I was with my mom and about 40 minutes I was ready to go home but I couldn’t find my mom. He saw I was looking for her and he told me she was on the treadmill a few minutes ago. He hugs me again by my side. His arm is around my shoulders side to side and he’s talking to me while grabbing onto my shoulders and we are just looking for my mom

Idk if this is just him being friendly or why he’s being physical with me again. Not going to lie my feelings are back.. I’m scared to ask him what he feels. Any thoughts before I do tell him
