My Top Newborn Items
I'm a first time mom and I'm currently 3 weeks post Partum with my daughter. Being a FTM, I was incredibly overwhelmed by the baby products out there and bought a lot of unnecessary items. Here is my list of must haves:
1) SwaddleMe CoSleeper - we have a crib and a bassinet and I use the CoSleeper every night and even at nap time. It's more portable, it's easier for night feedings, she sleeps longer because she is closer to us and stays warmer, and I can check on her throughout the night without disturbance.
2) Boppy Pillow and Milacon Drops- great for breastfeeding and propping her up a bit to settle her tummy
3) MommaRoo - when I'm needing to empty the dishwasher or start a load of laundry, baby girl happily sways in her momma roo.
4) LARGE diaper bag - no matter how big your bag is, you need a bigger one. There are so many in case items that anything less than gargantuan won't suffice. Just the extra blanket, burp cloth, change of clothes for her, myself and my husband is enough!
5) Medela Freestyle with Lanisoh Bags and Lanolin Ointment - essentials for breastfeeding and storing for when I go back to work!
6) Cloud B sound machine and a Soothie - great for keeping baby soothed throughout the night, at her newborn pictures, and at her doctors appointments...or during that random call from grandma.
7) Burp Cloths and Diapers - and loads of them! I find myself elbows deep in breastmilk, poop, pee and the occasional spit up. Stock up!
8) fully button down sleepers - much better and easier than onesies or zipper sleepers!
I hope you other new moms enjoy the list and please feel free to add your items!
