Prodromal Labor

Anyone else going through this? My NST appointment today resulted in getting sent to L&D for 5 hours due to contractions being 2-4 minutes apart, though it wasnt causing any cervical progression. Got them to slow to 4-6 minutes before sending me home. Said it could last a few days or until active labor. I have 3 weeks until my induction date, I can't imagine doing this for 3 more weeks. It is exhausting and uncomfortable. Baby is head down and in the perfect position, is it possible this will lead to active labor before my induction date?
