TTC after D&C

My wife and I found out we had a missed miscarriage on 4/30 at 9 weeks. She had a D&C on 5/7. She had light bleeding until 5/21. Today 6/4, she tested negative for pregnancy (what we’ve been waiting for) and we’ve been testing for ovulation as well. Today was also the first day(flashing smiley) on our clear blue digital ovulation test. Her OB, when we found out we miscarried, recommended waiting 2-3 cycles before trying again. We are considering trying now though. Any thoughts and what did you consider if you’ve been in a similar situation?
