Natural birth

I’m still processing my experience. I just delivered my second daughter. The first I got an epidural right after they broke my water and couldn’t feel a thing. This time I waited too long to go in and by the time I got there I was writhing and the epidural was ineffective by the time it was administered. I ended up delivering my daughter “naturally” and felt every damn thing. I was not prepared for that in any way whatsoever. I could research and prep all I wanted but that pain was unimaginable. I couldn’t help but push and had to wait on doctors. I’ve never screamed so much before I remembered to bear down. My poor labor team. She’s healthy and we’re recovering. I can’t say I’m proud but it was worth it.
