2 month old has fever(please read)
Before I start yes I took him to pediatrician Monday, ER Monday night and back to pediatrician today (Thursday). Wondering if any mom’s experienced this and how much longer I should wait it out. Sunday night my 2 month old had a temp. Rectal 100.8 waited an hour it was gone, he was supposed to get his 2month vaccines Monday but I called before and mentioned he had a fever the night before and that day it was 100.1 they said no shots today, changed to a sick visit, everything looked fine, no temp at doctors, it’s been coming and going which they said is normal in babies to monitor it. They said if it’s above 100.4 to call and if it’s 101 bring to ER. Monday night it was 100.9 so I called the on call doctor and they said bring him to ER. They tested him for RSV, Flu, Covid all came back negative. He had a lot of mucus in the back of his throat, said it was viral infection don’t know from what, to only give a little Tylenol IF it’s super high again or if it stays with in an hour. It’s has been coming and going never stays more than an hour but comes through out the day. Well yesterday is was 100.1 and he only drank 3oz of his bottle out of 5oz which is unusual for him. After an hour threw up whole bottle. I called the pediatrician because I didn’t like that and his body feels so hot, sleeping more than usual, glossy eyes, now throwing up. They said to bring him in Thursday (today) if he throws up again ER. He was fine, but temp coming again. They checked him today low grade fever, he doesn’t sound congested since the test were all neg. to give a little pedialyte since it’s day 5 with still temps if it last the weekend bring him in again. He feels extremely hot to me 9:30pm temp. Of 100.5. I’m feeling useless because he is so young, and not sure how much more to wait, if it could be something else. He just turned 2 months so this doesn’t seem right to me.
