Advice needed

I've known a guy for almost four years. Our first date was great, but then he told me he was married, so I decided I couldn't date him. We stayed friends and barely talked after that. His feelings towards me were always very unclear and confusing.

About a year and a half ago, he got divorced, and now we're talking again. I mentioned I'm going solo traveling to Spain, and he said he wanted to tag along. I agreed but made it clear that nothing romantic would happen. He wanted to stay in the same room, but I insisted on separate accommodations. We booked everything and paid, and I helped him sign up for all the day trips I'm going on( cause he wanted ) so now I don't think I can get out of it.

Yesterday, he joked about bringing a lot of shirts for me to iron, and I told him, "You need to subscribe to a wife bundle." He replied, "I don't think I'll ever subscribe to that( generally speaking)” . His behavior is really confusing and makes me unsure about what he wants.
