Early growth rate normal?

So I had a confirmation ultrasound at 6w0d where I measured 5w6d so only one day behind. Then I had another ultrasound yesterday at 7w6d where I measured 7w2d. We saw and heard a heartbeat which was 146 so the baby is looking health but I’m confused and a little concerned how I went from measuring 1 day behind to 4 days behind. Is this normal?

You have to remember they literally looked at a ton of scans of women at each stage/week of pregnancy and then just took the average size/most common size they saw at that point. The fact is babies all grow at slightly different rates. The other thing is… ultrasounds arnt always “accurate” on the size, it can be a little off. That’s how I had two kids come out at 7 and 8 pounds but the ultrasound measured a week previously 9 pounds. Not every one person grows the same and is the same size when you factor everything in. That’s why they normally go off your last menstrual period even if you didn’t get pregnant a week or more later. Don’t stress over the little semantics of things. Easier said than done I know.
